Today’s poll: Is a large number of overseas teachers an issue?

Analysis by the TES suggests 1 in 6 new teachers in England last year came from overseas: whilst we clearly have recruitment difficulties, is there any educational reason to be concerned at having a large number of teachers from overseas in our classes?

    Overseas teachers are no t an issue assumes they have a good command of Spokan and written English or Welsh and are trained properly. Provided these are met overseas teachers can enhance our education system.

    SchoolsImprove No, the issue is the rapid turnover of teachers as a result of stress largely caused by the government’s education policies.
