Today’s poll: End of year proms – important milestone or too much of a distraction?

A private school has scrapped its end of year prom claiming it is too much of a “distraction” to pupils but others claim the event is an “important milestone” that pupils look forward to and remember for years – which side are you on?

    SchoolsImprove Bit of both I feel. With each year they seem to take on a greater importance and associated costs for pupils and parents.

    SchoolsImprove I don’t think they’re necessary in primary school but high school/sixth form proms give them something to look forward to!
