The Mirror is reporting that a message from a US teenager asking how to use a library has gone viral after it was tweeted by her brother…
A Twitter user called Bobby McKenna got thousands of retweets when uploaded a screengrab of a text message he’d received from his teenage sister.
“I’m in the school library,” she messaged him to say.
“Can I just take books of the shelf?
“This is so old school and I don’t know what I’m allowed to do…”
Funny but also quite profound – what does it say about the role of libraries today and should we be doing more to make sure more people don’t face the same dilemma as Bobby’s sister?
