Teacher forged forms to help friend’s daughter jump the queue to a popular primary school

The Mirror has reported that a teacher claimed child was a Looked After Child…

A teacher was sacked after she forged documents to allow a friend’s child to jump the queue into a popular state school.

Bernadette Hendrickson, 50, faked official forms to make it appear that the five-year-old girl was a “Looked After Child”.

This meant the youngster – who had been at a £8,568-a-year independent school – was automatically given a priority place.

A disciplinary hearing of the Education Workforce Council was told the “white lie” potentially cost other children a place at the school.

It also caused “embarrassment and confusion” to the little girl involved, who was removed only a few days after starting.
