Multiple stories about school students getting in trouble for their periods have made the headlines recently. In Cornwall, Marcus Alleyne is campaigning for schools to recognise his daughter’s period pains as legitimate reasons for absence.

Meanwhile in Northampton, a mother had to call her daughter’s school so they would let her use the bathroom while she was on her period.
