Revealed: MATs ranked by Ofsted primary ratings

New figures have been published today that reveal how multi-academy trusts have performed in school Ofsted inspections. Tes reports.

The research by FFT Education Datalab provides MAT-level performance for both primary and secondary schools.

*The research has only included schools that have been with an MAT for at least three years – in line with the Department for Education’s own multi-academy trust performance tables.

Of the 1,408 primaries looked at in the research, 345 had not been inspected by Ofsted under their current trust. All of these schools were rated as “good” or better at their last inspection, so their inclusion will have boosted some trusts’ ratings.
