Reopening schools in September a ‘priority’ — but other things may have to close for it to happen, hints Chris Whitty

iNews reports …

Boris Johnson has said getting all children back to school in England in September remains a “national priority”, but the Chief Medical Officer hinted that other parts of society may have to shut down to allow it to happen. Asked at Friday’s Downing Street press conference whether the Government would press ahead with reopening schools, the Prime Minister said that “getting children back into school on the 1st September… should be a national priority, that should be something we aim to deliver”.
