Reopening schools: Government could be heading for another GCSE and A-level exams fiasco in 2021, unions warn

School children could be heading for another disastrous exams fiasco next year, ministers have been warned. Education unions have said exams in 2021 will be “profoundly unfair” unless the Government slims down the syllabus for pupils. They are also calling for a back-up plan in case the summer exam season is disrupted by a spike in Covid-19 infections, with staggered tests in the autumn and spring a possible alternative.
