Mother discovers daughter’s maths teacher, 35, hiding under the schoolgirl’s bed when she went home early

A maths teacher has been discovered hiding under the bed of one of his 16-year-old pupils. The unnamed teacher, 35, was discovered when the girl’s mother returned to check up on her daughter on the last day of term. This is from the Daily Mail…

He was arrested by Greater Manchester Police on suspicion of abusing a position of trust then released on bail but has been suspended from his job.

The mother had discovered the pair in her daughter’s bedroom after returning to the family home in Bolton, Manchester, on the schoolgirl’s last day of term.

A source told The Sun: ‘The pair had gone back to the girl’s house because they thought no one would be there.

‘But the mum came home earlier than expected and caught them.

‘She went into her daughter’s room and found the teacher hiding under the bed. It was a terrible shock. The mum went berserk.’

The teacher has been bailed by police until August 15. It is not known whether he has been suspended by his school.

A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said: ‘Greater Manchester Police are investigating after a man was found in a 16-year-old girl’s bedroom.

‘On Friday, July 19, police were called to an address in the Bolton area following concerns for the welfare of the 16-year-old girl who lives at the address.

‘Officers attended and later that day a 35-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of abusing a position of trust.

‘He has been bailed until 15 August 2013 pending further inquiries.
