Jimmy Savile sex claim teachers cleared of allowing him to carry out his abuse at their school

The Mirror is reporting that teachers at a girls’ school where Jimmy Savile abused dozens of pupils in the Seventies have been cleared of allowing him to carry out his sex crimes.

Victims, who claimed some Duncroft School staff ignored the abuse in case donations dried up, reacted with fury at the decision.

A woman who was abused at the age of 14 said: “It is shameful.

“Teachers knew what that monster was doing and they let it continue.”

Savile would got to the Surrey school in his Rolls Royce and select girls to take out on day trips, when he would molest them.

Detectives interviewed two former teachers, including ex-headmistress Margaret Jones, who is now 92.

The Crown Prosecution Service decided the teachers had no case to answer…
