Today’s poll: Is Ofqual right to stick to its guns over science practicals not counting for GCSE grades?

Ofqual is going ahead with its controversial plan to stop practical work from contributing to overall science GCSE grades despite strong opposition from Nicky Morgan and many leading scientists. Is it right to stick to its guns?

    I can understand that many teachers did not like the controlled assessment science practicals. What I can’t understand is why not count the marks of the new style exams in the overall grade?

  2. It would be interesting to poll just science teachers and get their view of the various attempts to do practical assessments of the whole GCSE cohort.
