We feel thousands of emotions, daily, but no one ever teaches us how to deal with them… even though they influence our whole life…

Feelings are really our GPS and alarm system. They tell us everything about what’s happening in our life. When experiencing overwhelming feelings, anger or irritation… it is our feelings saying, ‘Stop, you have been thinking negative thoughts.’

Having a past of depression, anxiety and eating problems and being a mum of four, two of which are on the autism spectrum, my full attention has always gone out to mental health.  At the roots of all depression, self-harm, eating problems and anxiety lays… trapped emotions.

Mental health problems are on the increase, and good mental health begins in infancy. Teaching a child coping mechanisms can have an enormous impact on their emotional wellbeing throughout the rest of their life. Parents, caregivers, and teachers alike can all benefit from sharing meditations with the children in their care.

It is important to teach children to stop and acknowledge their feelings. ‘Why am I feeling this way?’ and then use meditations/coping mechanisms, to get to a better feeling place, to lift themselves up before spiralling down.

I teach children very easy to apply exercises/meditation/ visualisations to make them feel better, wherever they are and as quickly as possible.

Everywhere in health care, people start to use meditation to help others, why not schools, is my question? Knowing how to deal with emotions is a life skill. We are creatures of habit, teach children emotional management now and see them blossom, growing up to be happy, healthy and successful for life! This is changing the world! Let’s work on prevention!


  • There is rise in number of children with depression, according to the  NHS there are nearly 80.000 children suffering from this mental illness.
  • 1 in 6 people will experience an anxiety related problem.
  • Among teenagers, rates of depression and anxiety have increased by 70% in the last 25 years.
  • Right now, there are 1.6 million people with an eating disorder.
  • Any of us is susceptible to depression, anger, sadness, anxiety, worry… emotions!

Through teaching children to meditate, we help our children to:

  • Boost their self-esteem
  • Sleep better
  • Strengthen their immune system
  • Increase their attention span
  • Handle stress better
  • Have better control over their emotions
  • Increase their mental strength
  • Enhance creative thinking

The exercises I teach children rely on fun visualisation techniques that enhance creative thinking, mental strength, positive thinking, and self-esteem.

  • Ladybugs that eat away unpleasant situations and feelings
  • Dragons that show how good change can be
  • Fairies who suck away angry energies with hoovers
  • Colours to breathe-in and make them feel a certain way
  • Angels who will remove the backpack of worries from their shoulders
  • And so much more
