GCSE results: Best and worst performing academy trusts named

The Department for Education has released figures revealing the best- and worst-performing academy trusts in England. Tes reports.

They include only multi-academy trusts that have at least three schools that have been with them for at least three years.

The MAT league tables for secondary schools use 2018 Progress 8 scores to compare the performance of academy trusts at GCSEs.

GCSE school league tables: “Well above average” academy trusts

Tauheedul Education Trust (now renamed Star Academies), 1.42

Dixons Academy Trust, 0.83

Diocese of London, 0.67

GCSE school league tables: “Well below average” academy trusts

Education Central Multi Academy Trust, -0.57

Wakefield City Academies Trust, -0.61

Aldridge Education, -0.63

The Midland Academies Trust, -0.70

Fylde Coast Teaching School Ltd, -0.78

UCAT, -0.83
