Teacher couple take their children out of school and on 37,000 mile ‘education’ journey

Richard and Catherine Thorley have visited 27 countries in their motorhome with their children Lottie and Libby, report The Mirror

Most mums and dads worry about taking their kids out of school for a few days in case they get fined by the truancy police or dubbed bad parents.

But Richard and Catherine Thorley have taken theirs on the road for 16 months – even though they are teachers themselves.

The couple claim they are ‘world-schooling’ their daughters, Lottie, 11, and eight-year-old Libby, taking the girls on an incredible 37,000 mile journey across Europe while their friends are back home in the classroom.

They have visited 27 countries in their motorhome taking part in over 200 family activities from rock climbing to kayaking and biking to rafting.
