Coronavirus in Scotland: Face masks ‘may become routine in Scottish schools’

Teachers may have to routinely wear face masks in the classroom when schools reopen in less than four weeks’ time, according to Scottish Government scientists.

School assemblies and other “higher risk” gatherings such as choir rehearsals, drama classes and indoor PE lessons are also unlikely to be allowed when schools return on 11 August.
