Boy, 12, charged with attacking fellow pupil with blade at a school

Wales Online is reporting that a 12-year-old boy will appear in court next week accused of attacking a fellow pupil with a blade at his Cardiff school…

The boy was arrested following the incident at the city school, which cannot be identified for legal reasons, at about 8.25am on Friday, July 3.

He has since been charged with assault and possession of an article with a blade.

He has been released on bail and is due to appear before Cardiff Magistrates Court next week.

The headteacher at the school said the incident was now something for the courts, but added: “I was pleased with the way staff dealt with the matter, which was handled promptly, efficiently and very professionally…”

It’s starting almost to feel like another day, another blade-related schools story. Very sad.
