Grammar school teacher streaked across garden in front of his pupils

A grammar school teacher who streaked in front of his pupils has quit his job after being found guilty of misconduct. David Bradley, 58, had been camping with the group of  12- and 13-year-olds on a field trip when he agreed to run naked across a garden. This is from the Daily Mail…

Millfields Primary School praised by Ofsted inspectors for improvement

The Crewe Chronicle is reporting that a Nantwich primary school previously identified as having ‘weak teaching’ has been praised by inspectors for its ‘excellent leadership’.

Millfields Primary School and Nursery received a disappointing Ofsted report four years ago but is now recognised as a ‘good’ school. (more…)

 

Woolston Primary School vows to improve after being failed by Ofsted

The Warrington Guardian reports that Woolston Primary School has been ordered to improve after being failed by Ofsted.

The Hall Road school received an overall score of four – also known as inadequate – the worst that can be given. In the report published today, Ofsted criticised standards of achievement by pupils and the level of progress they make through school. However, the quality of teaching and the behaviour of children were satisfactory, said the report. Ofsted also said that leaders at the school were dealing with staffing problems and that teachers were being monitored.
